The NWGA Free State wool shop achieved record sales in the 2014/15 financial year, closing at just under R 370 000.00. The shop diversified its product range in the last quarter of the financial year to include new products, including Karoo Moon wool, knitting accessories, 100% wool baby accessories, 100% wool scarves and headbands, as well as the Konsortium Merino jacket range. All new products performed well. Traditional items sold by the shop, such as wool slippers, 100% wool and wool blend spencers, wool jerseys, wool duvets and FALKE socks continue to be stocked by the shop and all continued to sell well.

The shop expanded its marketing strategy to include social media, and launched a FaceBook page that yielded an upsurge in client numbers. The shop expanded its display area at its flagship outlet, NAMPO, and generated a turnover of R 251 000.00 over the four-day show period. The shop aims to utilize more sales opportunities at a variety of shows throughout the Free State in the 2015/16 financial year and has sourced more new products, including ladies' wool jackets and 100% wool blankets to be sold at these events. Medical Socks

The Diasock is an essential tool in maintaining good foot care for diabetics. A natural fibre cotton or wool sock is best to absorb sweat and moisture, which would otherwise be an ideal breading ground for bacteria and infection. This will also help to reduce friction and allowing the foot to breathe, thereby minimising blisters and ulcers forming.  For more information view the website:  http://www.diasock.co.za/
